Broccoli Salad

Our broccoli salad is a refreshing summer side dish, featuring crisp broccoli florets, red onions, raisins, and sunflower seeds. It’s dressed in a creamy, tangy sauce made from mayonnaise, vinegar, and a hint of sugar. This versatile salad can be customized with extras like bacon bits or cheese, making it a popular choice for summer barbecues, picnics, and potlucks!

 

Broccoli Salad

Ingredients
5 Cups Broccoli Florets
8 Ounces Bacon
1 Cup Mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
1/3 Cup Onion, chopped
1/4 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Raisins
1/2 Cup Sunflower Kernels
Salt to taste

Steps
1) Slice uncooked bacon into small strips and fry in a pan until crisp.
2) Blanch broccoli florets in salted water until al dente. Run the broccoli under cold water to stop the cooking process.
3) Add mayonnaise, vinegar, onion, sugar, and raisins into a mixing bowl and mix until combined; add chilled florets.
4) Add chilled broccoli florets to mayonnaise mixture and toss together.
5) Chill the broccoli in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
6) Before serving, toss in sunflower kernels and cooked bacon.
