Culinary Services Group Employees Win Senior Dining Association Awards

Two CSG employees will be recognized at the SDA 2022 Synergy Conference in Orlando.

Westminster, MD – The Senior Dining Association will recognize two Culinary Services Group employees for their outstanding service in the senior dining community. Terri Watson, Food Service Director at Beacon Ridge, A Choice Community in Indiana, PA has won the Director of Dining Services of the Year Award. Nicole Tagge RD, LDN, CSG, Registered Dietitian at Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center in Montoursville, PA has won the Senior Dining Association’s Dietitian of the Year Award. Both have demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to their communities.

 

Terri Watson receives Director of Dining Services of the Year award

Food Service Director Terri Watson will be recognized nationally for her commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience at Beacon Ridge, A Choice Community by the Senior Dining Association. The Director of Dining Services Award recognizes a dining services professional who has exhibited exceptional leadership and management proficiency and has enhanced their community’s dining program through a recent, noteworthy achievement. 

Terri was nominated because of her 31-year commitment to Beacon Ridge, A Choice Community. She has the distinction of working her way up from an hourly employee at Beacon Ridge, A Choice Community to Food Service Director with Culinary Services Group. She has earned the respect of her team members by having performed every role in the kitchen and being a hands-on manager who is always ready to roll up her sleeves and help out. During COVID, Terri was instrumental in creating an in-kitchen tray line where staff could prepare in-room dining orders to maintain resident safety. Terri is able to inspire trust and a growth mindset for other employees through her own career path and example. Beacon Ridge, A Choice Community is proud to have an outstanding team member like Terri who cares deeply about the community and its residents.

 

Nicole Tagge receives SDA Dietitian of the Year award 

Registered Dietitian Nicole Tagge RD, LDN, CSG will be recognized nationally by the Senior Dining Association for providing exceptional dietetic care to her community. The SDA Dietitian of the Year award recognizes a dietitian who has successfully implemented an outstanding nutrition and wellness program and delivery methods to enhance the health and physical conditions of a community and its residents.

Nicole is a Board Certified Specialist of Gerontological Nutrition through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is a ServeSafe Proctor for her local area. She also serves as a Clinical Nutritional Manager for Culinary Services Group where she provides mentorship and support to other dietitians in her region. This past year Nicole transitioned Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center to the International Dysphagia Diet Standard Initiative (IDDSI), a standardized texture-modified diet. She also implemented Culinary Services Group’s Enhanced Premium Program, a food-first nutrition program that fortifies whole foods and seeks to reduce supplement usage. Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center is proud to have an outstanding team member like Nicole who cares deeply about the community and the health and well-being of its residents.

Terri and Nicole will receive their awards at the SDA Synergy Conference at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, on April 20th, 2022.
